Rishan- suffered from ASD and ADHD
Rishan, a local child diagnosed with ASD and ADHD, has shown significant improvement in his behavior and social skills after receiving therapy at Sparsh Patna, a flagship program of Mediversal Foundation.

According to Rishan's parent, Dr. Nayana Deb, before starting therapy at Sparsh, Rishan showed signs of minimal eye contact, no response to his name being called, and hyperactivity. He also did not imitate actions or wave goodbye. However, since starting therapy, Rishan has shown remarkable progress in all areas except hyperactivity.

"Other than hyperactivity, all issues are resolved after starting therapy, and continuous improvement has been seen in all domains," said Dr. Deb.

Aashi - Suffered from Mild Autism
Aashi Amarnath, a child diagnosed with mild autism, has made significant progress since beginning therapy at Sparsh Patna, a flagship program of Mediversal Foundation.

According to Aashi's mother, Swati Sinha, they noticed a lot of changes in Aashi's behavior during the lockdown, to the point that she stopped speaking due to excessive exposure to screens and being cooped up in their flat for months on end. They realized something was wrong and consulted a doctor.
​
Since beginning therapy at Sparsh Patna, Aashi has made remarkable progress. She has become much more independent and is now able to attend classes without the presence of her parents.
​
"We have seen a lot of improvement in Aashi after she began therapy at Sparsh. One of the major changes is that she has become much more independent than before," said Swati Sinha.

While Swati Sinha is pleased with the progress her daughter has made, she would like to see Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy offered at Sparsh Patna.

"It would be nice if you start with ABA therapy at your center, as no such therapy is available in Patna. There are so many kids like Aashi who have more of behavioral problems than other major issues," said Swati Sinha.

Sparsh for Children: A Journey of Remarkable Improvement
Autism is a condition that affects many children, and it can be difficult for parents to find the right resources to help their children develop and grow. S.Asbaque Haroon is one such child, and his parents were looking for a way to help him improve his communication skills, frustration tolerance, and social interactions.
​
Before coming to Sparsh for Children, Asbaque struggled with poor communication skills, resistance to instructions, poor frustration tolerance, agitation during times of stress, and avoiding social situations. His parents, Dr. S. Sameena Husain and her husband, were looking for a solution to help their son.
​
After starting therapy at Sparsh for Children, Asbaque's parents noticed remarkable improvement in almost all areas of concern. He improved his speech, tried to follow instructions better, improved his frustration tolerance, and his agitation towards smaller kids and caregivers had come down. Asbaque now feels happy and tries to interact with guests and enjoys their company.

Sparsh for Children's approach and expertise in analyzing the areas of concern amazed Asbaque's parents in the very first meeting. Mrs. Surabhi Verma, the founder of Sparsh for Children, provided a holistic plan that helped Asbaque significantly. The family was not able to stay in Delhi for longer periods, and Sparsh for Children's Patna center came as a god-sent blessing. The therapy sessions in the Patna center started in January 2018, and the team at Patna complemented the quality and dedication of Mrs. Surabhi Verma's team in Delhi.

The admins, therapists, coordinators, and everyone at Sparsh for Children's Patna center outdid themselves in helping the child and the family combat the challenges of Autism and Dyslexia. Asbaque's mother is deeply indebted to each one who has taken personal care and helped train and teach the family. Asbaque's parents noticed remarkable progress in their son, and they attribute it to Sparsh for Children.

Asbaque's mother suggests organizing outings and activities for older kids that help in sports or vocational training. She also congratulates and thanks the entire Sparsh for Children team for doing an exemplary job with children and maintaining the quality of care over time. As she completes five years with Sparsh, she wishes the entire team many more years of excellence in care and service.
